Medi-Share supports pastors and staff with mental health resources through 2-day Thrive and Cultivate event

MELBOURNE, Fla. —On May 18th & 19th, Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share, the nation’s leading health care sharing ministry and administer of the Medi-Share Pastors’ Alliance, will encourage the Christian community to participate in this free 2-day event to equip themselves and their congregations with tools to maintain mental wellness.

Developing mental health strategies is more important than ever. With more than 30 top practitioners leading the sessions in the Thrive & Cultivate virtual summit, this is an event church leaders won’t want to miss. They will be equipped with self-care support for themselves, their teams, and their congregations. This dynamic lineup of experts and practitioners will share their experiences and best practices for supporting mental health in the church. Some speakers include Kay Warren, Nona Jones, Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, and more.

“Thrive and Cultivate Summit continues to be an event that provides help and resources addressing mental health and wellness for the vocational and volunteer church leaders,” shares Barry Sneed, Christian Care Ministry Executive Director of the Medi-Share Pastors’ Alliance. “The event has also been a permission-giving experience to address mental health in the local church which continues to be a great need.”

More than four thousand attendees are registered so far. This year’s Thrive & Cultivate event will have five specialized tracks to experience: Understanding and Identifying Mental Health Issues, Trauma and Grief, Self-Care and Resilience for Church Leaders, Supporting and Ministering to Those with Mental Health Issues, and BIPOC/Asian American Mental Health.
